A Sunny Day = A Sunny Mood!

It's amazing what a little sunshine can do for my mood.  I have all the window shades and blinds pulled way up and the sunshine is pouring into my house.  It's a beautiful way to start a Monday morning!

Our weekend was nice.  Saturday night we went to a surprise 50th birthday party for my boss's wife.   The restaurant where the party was held was inside of a boat marina. They are big sailing enthusiasts so this location was perfect for her birthday party.    It was a fun evening!

The beautiful sunset Saturday evening at the Emerald City Boat Marina.

Earlier in the day my mom and I went to my cousin's wedding shower.  It was so nice seeing my aunts and cousins.  Zack (my cousin) and his fiancee, Arianna are such a beautiful couple.  This wedding will be the 3rd wedding in 18 months for my cousin Terri's family.  Her three oldest boys have kept her busy with weddings!

Arianna's grandma gave her some footed PJ's..LOL

Zack's dad gave him the ultimate tool set!
Sunday we went to church and our priest, Fr. Jerry, spoke about the Boston Marathon bombings.  He talked about the stories of compassion and the goodness that was prevalent in the aftermath of such an evil act.  He described how worried he was for his best friend's daughter who was running in the marathon.  He described the peace that came over him when he got a phone call from her that she was safe.  Fr. Jerry said that same peaceful feeling can be felt every time we spend time in prayer.  I couldn't agree with him more!   We left church with a feeling of hope and an overwhelming feeling of peace.   I made a big breakfast when we got home and I enjoyed the rest of the day with my family.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to see what I have been up to.  We were without internet service all weekend so I have been slow getting to blogs but I will be visiting everyone's page today.  Have a wonderful week!

  1. You probably didn't miss the internet too much during what looks like a busy weekend. One of my sisters would like those PJ's. She likes toe socks.

  2. Time with family is always good, and at peace, knowing all are ok. Sounds like your weekend was a really good one, so hoping this will spill over to this new week as well.

  3. It sounds like a busy but nice weekend Kris. Your cousin has definitely been busy with wedding over the past year and a half. Enjoy your week ahead and that sunshine you are getting. We have the sun out here today too and the high for today is supposed to reach 70! :) Sounds like a nice Spring day for me to enjoy since the rest of the week is going to cool off...again. lol
